Notexa Help Center
Full online guide for Notexa on Android and iOS. For quick tips inside the app, open
Settings → Help.
Getting started
Notexa works without an account. Install the app, optionally set up app lock, and tap
New note on the home screen to begin.
Creating and editing notes
Choose a note type when creating a note:
- Plain — free-form text blocks
- Lined — paper-style lined writing
- Checklist — tasks with checkboxes
Notes save automatically as you type. Empty checklist or text items are not kept; if you leave
a completely blank note, it is removed when you exit the editor.
Swipe right on a note to star it. Swipe left to archive or move it to the recycle bin.
Long-press or use note actions to duplicate, share, or change color.
Folders, tags, and colors
Organize notes with folders and tags from the home screen and note editor. Apply a color accent
to notes for quick visual grouping. Filter notes by folder, tag, or color using the filter sheet.
Card and list views
Toggle between card grid and compact list views from the home screen app bar. Your preference
is remembered on your device.
Search
Use global search to find notes by title, content, or tags. Inside a note, use in-note find to
jump to matching text.
Voice notes
Add voice recordings to notes from the editor. Notexa requests microphone permission only when
you start recording. Recordings are stored locally on your device alongside your encrypted notes.
Security and app lock
Open Settings → Security to enable app lock with a PIN, password, or
biometrics (when your device supports them). Your notes are stored in an encrypted local
database. Lock credentials are hashed and kept in secure storage—never sent to our servers.
Archive and recycle bin
Archived notes are hidden from the main list but easy to restore. Deleted notes go to the
recycle bin for 30 days before permanent removal.
Share and export
Share note text through your device’s share sheet, copy to clipboard, or export where
supported. You control what leaves the app.
Offline and your data
Notexa is offline-first. Your notes live on your device with encryption. We do not upload your
note contents to Note Arena servers in the current release. Back up your device regularly if
you want protection against hardware loss.
