Notexa Privacy Policy

Notexa (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a secure notebook
application published by Note Arena. This policy explains how Notexa handles information when you
use our mobile apps on Android and iOS.
Summary
- Your notes stay on your device by default.
- We do not require an account to use Notexa.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not run advertising trackers inside the app.
Information we collect
Data you create in the app
Notexa stores the content you create—notes, checklists, folders, tags, colors, voice
recordings, and related metadata—locally on your device in an encrypted database.
This data is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly use a sharing or export
feature that sends content to another app or service you choose.
Device permissions
Notexa may request the following permissions to provide features:
- Microphone — only when you record voice notes.
- Biometrics — only when you enable fingerprint or Face ID app lock.
You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work
without the relevant permission.
App settings and security data
Preferences such as theme mode, view layout, and app-lock settings are stored in your
device’s secure storage. Lock credentials are stored as salted hashes, not plain text.
Database encryption keys are generated on your device and kept in secure storage.
Information we do not collect
Notexa does not currently collect:
- Account registration data (no sign-in is required)
- Analytics or advertising identifiers from within the app
- Automatic cloud backups of your notes
- Your note contents on our servers
How we use information
Information stored on your device is used only to:
- Display, organize, search, and protect your notes
- Apply your chosen security and appearance settings
- Enable optional features such as voice recording and sharing
Sharing and export
When you share a note, copy it, export it, or open a support email, content may leave the app
through your device’s standard share sheet, clipboard, or email client. Those actions are
initiated by you. We do not receive that content unless you send it to us directly (for example,
by emailing support).
Data retention and deletion
Notes remain on your device until you delete them, move them to the recycle bin, or uninstall
the app. Items in the recycle bin are permanently removed after 30 days. Uninstalling Notexa
removes local app data from your device, subject to your operating system’s behavior.
Security
Notexa encrypts your local database with SQLCipher and supports optional app lock (PIN,
password, or biometrics). No method of storage is 100% secure, but we design Notexa so your
notes remain private on your device.
Children’s privacy
Notexa is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information
from children.
Future online features
If we add optional cloud sync, accounts, or other online services, we will update this policy
and notify users in the app before those features collect or process personal data differently.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the
top will change when we do. Continued use of Notexa after changes means you accept the updated
policy.
